Wax

Of all my years detailing, the best wax I've ever used has been the Dupont w/ Teflon.

Well, the one I like and has been the best base coat is Trutle wax colored wax. It makes the color much deeper and get the oxidation off.

At our last meet, on of the guys used Meguiar's Gold Class and I could not believe that it was the same car. Everyone agreed, it looked like he had spent days on it. He said that he had just given it a quick coat before the meet. What a difference.

I use the colored wax on the roof and tail of my car and i always end up with terrible streaks and colorful swirl like patterns (not scratches and its not the paint). Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?

I am in love with prestone's new wax. I bought it on a whim and am on my third bottle it does wonders. Looks just like the high dollar stuff but not nearly as expensive.

Dupont is very good and I personally like Turtle Wax color cure. The Turtle Wax platinum series is by far the best car wax I have used. It goes on very well and comes off great too and leaves a deep beautiful gloss.

You don't have to leave it on very long before you buff it off. I have not had any problems like that.

I might try some of that Turtle wax then...I used to use it but found the Dupont and havent used anything else. I used to use Maguires, but that stuff to me is a pain to get off. IMO of course.
