That's not cool that they're dropping the standard Legacy wagon. What about the Legacy GT wagon for all the sporty soccer moms?

Get on 07?

This model seems to have a little too much class to be a soccer mobile.

Anyway.. driving a Legacy GT wagon is very different than any other wagon models. Maybe they thought that people can get Outback XT if they want turbo performance in wagon.... and so that they can increase the outback sales while improving the legacy in sedan line and make it more competitive in the performance saloon market at all levels....

Just my opinon, but if they wanted to drop something it should have been the Tribeca. It's a hideous beast and I dont think there really selling that well. I rarely see them, and the local dealer has even stopped carrying them.

Yeah I want the a 15 year old platform that was not-that-impressive when it came out. Besides, it has a less than ton of room in that back seat and hatch.

Last I read (within the past year) they were running at less than 50% in Indiana.

They'd rather be the company to sell to idiots instead of the customers they built up over the last 25 years who aren't dumb enough to pay more for less which is what happens when you buy an outback.

i think they are a company who tries to make a profit and sells to whoever is buying.

if they continued to sell the SVX to the small loyal bunch of enthusiasts, Subaru would most likely be bankrupt right now. if the Leg wagon and Outback sedan were selling even a decent amount, i'm pretty sure they wouldn't be on the chopping block.

The legacy wagon is still the best selling wagon in the US selling 3x what the B-9 does alone and profit wise they have been in trouble for about 10 years (going by Subaru stats since everybody else includes the idiot mobile outback as a wagon but Subaru claims its an SUV). Its been 20 years since they've seen record profits back when they sold cars to a loyal customer base instead of the ricer of the week club.

Ya, I think ford my have set a sales record too. For the company to post the highest loss while maintaining the number one selling vehicle. How do you have the F150 selling more than any other vehicle and still post a 12.6 billion dollar loss. I think they lost that money into the pocket of the board members.

My my my Alan, I thought you were smarter than that. I didn't say anything about sales figures. I thought most people and businesses were concerned with how much was in the bank after each year.
