i have heated cloth seats. i could be wrong, but i remember a post at LegacyGT.com saying the wiring is all in place in the 2.5i's, you just need to add the switch part, and you can have heated seats in the 2.5i. try reading this thread, i don't know what the consensus was...

http://legacygt.com/forums/interior-...t=heated+seats

n00b, a reflash is the Cobb Accessport, ECUtek, etc. - flashing a new map on the ECU for more power. you can do stage1 right off the bat, then change the downpipe for stage 2, and more power and torque than an STi.

i'd be at stage 2 right now, but Crucial, the place i want to get my downpipe and upipe from, has just moved their warehouse and now i have to wait.

Well I was always under the assumption that the SE was only a manual. The sticker on her car even said Limited.

Honestly I wouldn't buy another newer Legacy. Our 03 GT has been nothing but trouble. The fit and finish on my mom's new 06 Legacy is just as pathetic then there is the whole 11 unscheduled visits by the Car and Driver 06 Legacy.

Good luck for your purchase and get something you like!

If you're worried about the 03 has only one year left warranty, you can always buy an extended warranty...

I don't have a problem at all with the new legacies.

hmm... I've been thinking about picking up an H6 with VTD to use for work sometimes and maybe become jess' new car. Perhaps I'll just hold off for a while What sort of issues have you run into with the GT?

only problems i've had was a rattle that there was a TSB for (i opted not to take it to the dealer and fixed it with a piece of foam rubber under the dash in about 5min), and a slightly off-center steering wheel. i didn't notice it when i drove off the dealer lot, but did when i hit the highway halfway home. took that back for an alignment. the wife's WRX had a wack alignment when we got it, too, and it was built in Japan, so its not an SOA build trouble only.

Only issue we've had with our legacy is the recalled oil filter....and the sunroof lining came off inside...took it back and they said all of them are like that....fixed that under warranty. Otherwise I have no problems at all.

03
1st new tranny (5 speed) at 500 miles
Clutch slipping issues all along
Fit and finish is = to that of an 80s GM car.
Both mirrors have now been replaced due to fading
Window seals are well not sealing- 2 replaced
Steering wheel off center
Things to do:
Keep at 'em until they replace the freaking clutch
Will need another tranny but at this point it'll be a reman tranny so might as well wait until the 5 years are up (has all of 20k on the odo now).

06 (this is from driving it once and sitting in it another time)
Window seals suck
Orange peel is just as bad as the 03 but not as noticable due to the color
Body panels fit again like an 80s GM car
Interior plastic is cheap (will not wear nicely) sure it looks okay now but when you can scratch some of it with your fingernail that isn't good.
Steering wheel way off center

At least it hasn't been to the dealer yet for unscheduled work unlike the Car and Driver GT that spent more time there than the Suzuki Esteem and Focus combined.

read a few posts before....the 06 is no longer available. I will be talking to him about the Auto with sportshift 03 legacy 2.5GT on monday morning. Gotta talk to them about putting tires on there for a discount if we are going to buy the car.

oops. Missed that.

Figures a 500 mile 06 wouldn't last long.
