ECU Bead Crush Question

I'm finally trying to pull my ECU today to do the 'bead crush' (I was away for a bit), and I'm having a really hard time loosening the nuts on the bracket, just because it is so tight in there. I've tried both a ratchet and a crescent wrench, but because they're both really short, I'm having trouble getting some decent leverage. What tools have other people had the most success with? Suggestions, please!

you only need to remove the bottom two. just lossen the top one and it will slide up and off the bracket.

I probably used a wrench but may have been a gear ratchet. Tight places are why I bought it.

Finally done!!!!

Thanks for the advice. All it took was a 10mm wrench, a bit of blood, and a vast vocabulary of naughty words, but I finally got the sucker out. The one nut closest to the passenger side was a b!tch. But now I have the two halves of the ferrite bead sitting on the bookcase in the livingroom, stuck to a piece of electrical tape.

And, best of all, my car didn't bog on the test drive. Hopefully, this has solved the problem for good. Now, just to get the cracked rad fixed...

Be aware that you have also reset the ECU by disconnecting it. Give it some time to relearn and you may notice a bit of bog return.

I noticed, back when I still had the 4EAT, that the car would be more peppy right after I reset the ECU.
