Under cover PSA

Guy at the dealer said there was only 7 under covers left in the country.

I just bought one (and got wallet raped) so that makes 6.

If you need one, source a used one to save a dime or get a fresh one now before they are gone, eh.

I'm kind of embarrassed to say.

$238.91

I looked it up on Subaruparts.com and it said 155, but shipping is killer for me. Would have been the same.

It's the sheild that goes under your engine. It is underrated and has many functions.
It stabilizes airflow under the car.
It keeps out dirt and animals from the front of the engine (maybe).
It catches liquids that may spill from your engine.
Without it your headers are exposed and I imagine they cool down quite a bit at high speeds. That's just speculation, but it helps me justify buying a new one.
It makes a scraping noise to let you know you are really close to a curb or parking space divider block thing.
Makes the car look better in the front in general.

Every SVX came with one but some bonehead threw mine away when I was trying too clean oil off it.

I bummed $100 off this person today to help me buy the new one, so the price wasn't a HUGE concern.

it also helps keep your inner fenders from lodging into the wheel at high speed! Can't say why I know that, but I put it back on, end of story.

Happened to me. I slid on some ice and hit a median, it ripped my front left mudgaurd off and I proceed to drive with only 3 wheels touching the ground.
There's some nice zip ties holding it on now.
