A/C Belt

I'm going to be getting my A/C charged this week and I have no belt on right now. My question is..can I put the belt on ahead of time just to make it easier/cheaper when the shop charges? The drier will also be disconnected since I'm waiting on my new one. Just checking to make sure it's ok to go ahead and put the belt on..

You can but make sure you unplug the AC compressor clutch. This way the AC wont come on by accident. It's a really bad thing to run a ac compressor with no charge in it.

The A/C will not run if it isn't charged. Most cars have systems that will not run when discharged to keep from damaging the compressor. Go ahead and hook it up.
