once i got a letter form teh state colorado regarding insurance on my lgt and its registration after i traded it in. guess american family reports that information to the state as well.

If I want to take one to a meet, and then not drive it for months again, I can have it covered for the day. I have a good relationship with the agent, so I don't know if they do that for everybody. I keep 3 cars on the road at a time and then call in when I want to take one off of the road and put another one on. You would have to check with the agent to find out exactly what you can do. I currently have six vehicles registered, only two of them are fully insured, the other four are "suspended" (I think that's what my agent called it). I believe it's costing me $10-15 for six months per "suspended" vehicle. If I have to drive the truck to the dump or into town to pick up some large items, I just call my agent and she reinstates it for the day or however long I tell her. I used to have four vehicles fully insured, one day I was making a payment and 'complaining' about the insurance costs and she actually suggested the change in insurance!
My agent is located in Sandy, that's not too far for you to drive to at least talk to her. that was after the good student discount! luckly i share the same name as my dad so insureance is more like 400 dollars ever 6 months
