Here's my favorite shot. It's looks so sinister it makes you weak....

I'm not quite in the middle, but I am definitely in Indiana somewhere. If you need a staging point or some help, or want to meet up, shoot me a PM.

As you may know, I am a fellow 951 lover and would love to see this one!

'Weak' is too mild of a word!

SVXer95, Thank you for the offer, and as soon as I have a plan, I'll let you know.
Chike, yes she is a beaut. I can't wait to feel the boost come on as I cruise down the PA Turnpike on my way home! I'll keep in "under control" in Indiana and Ohio. I have a better shot getting sympathy from a PA Trooper.

Indiana isn't too bad, but watch out in Ohio. The state troopers are relentless along I-80 (which I assume you will be taking). I am less than 10 miles south of 80.

I usually preach no more then 15 over. I hope they'll leave me alone at that rate, and hope the badge doesn't have to save me. I've only been stopped once since I've been on the job. I'd like to keep it that way. I start my 11th year on June 3rd.

I still have to get the wife's approval, but I'm getting closer. I hope to find out for sure this week. I'll keep everyone posted. If she does come home, I'll bring her out for a "Reading 7.5" to show her off. Sound good Chike?

Sounds great! Take your wife on a shopping trip before popping the 'Big Question'!

Heck when I bought my WRX, after spending ~1/2 hour filling out paperwork & financing, I took her for a 45 minute shopping spree while my car was being prepped for delivery. She got 5 new outfits, and I got a new car!

-Chike

P.S. Reading 7.5 will most likely take place at Svxfiles' place in August when one of the Cumberland Airport autoX races takes place. Last year there was a huge turn-out!

The 951 appears to be toast. I had the wife about 80% there with the home equity loan, but when she found out it would be an extra $900 a year on the car insurance, she squashed it. I am bumming big time. She said it's temporary and I can look in 2 years when she goes back to work, but it's a sad day in mudville.

Sorry to hear Dan... I was thinking in the back of my mind that insurance on a 2 door turbocharged Porsche must not be cheap.

Hey, maybe you'll get a promotion at work!

there is always a NA 944 - doesn't have the blast of power, but insane handling and braking is a crapload of fun as well.

good luck. <reminds self to play teh Powerball.....>

I got promoted in November. I think we could do it, but she wants to play it safe with us just buying the new house in February. I'm holding out for a 968 now. She's going to have to let me get a newer one next year or the year after. The 968 is better looking, but the boost of the 951 is something they say you'll never forget. This just sucks. Damn.

Significant Technical Input Registered SVX
Dan, try other insurance companies before you give up, A.I.G had great rates for me, as a ticket-less, accident free, adult, multiple car driver.

Of course when I became single again they DOULBED my rates!!!

So I went to Erie to pay double my old rates.
I showed them.
Good luck!
