Shift Kit From Small Car Performance

Ok, I think it is finally time for me to install it. I had the kit for 2 years now and have yet to install it. I have waited for my warrenty on my Subaru transmission to expire. LOL, tick, tock! I have made a dry run on the install. If you look at my locker I modified the shift kit so that it is protected and placed a plastic box to cover the electronics from getting wet or dirty.

Link to my locker:

My question to this SVX Network, now that the "SHIFT KIT" has been on a several cars now for a couple of years. Can all of you that has this kit, tell me how the shift kit has been as far as reliabilty, performance. Please give me your feed back. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you should install it. Just sell it to me. J/K lol. Honestly I have driven one with it and I really liked it.

Install it but don't turn it up too high or the tranny will try to push the engine out of the car.

Also it could wear your moving parts prematurely. Don't let it thump into gear at low rpms.

If you have one that is 2-years old it may be one of the older models that will throw a transmission error code and cause you to get a blinking power light when you start the car. A simple resistor will fix that problem though.

Resistor?

Tell me more Matt. My kit is a year old but I can't decide which car to try it out on first.

Had mine installed for a long time now with it set up to shift very hard.
No problems. Great mod.

Mine is still set to explode into gear as well, but I don't want to be the one to say nothing can go wrong.
