WRX STi S204 edition

Hi,
I came accross this limited edition of wrx sti - s204. Very aggressive looking and sporty

Subaru WRX STi - S204

STi and Yamaha (my fav company in bikes) is working together in developing some parts

The rear spoiler looks very nice than the stock STi's

The undercar looks neat and clean with all the undercovers

But surprisingly they are using EJ20 engine making 320bhp

They don't use the 2.5.

It's an American thing. We complain about torque so we get slightly larger engines.

I believe Toyota owns Yamaha. I know they did the headwork on the G series engines and they helped ford with the SHO.

aren't there u.s. emissions issues with the 2.0L as well?

they use a higher octane gasoline in Japan - 100 octane i think.

That much I know, which is more than nothing, so it's something which is kind of anything, but shouldn't dictate import engine capacity.

Those s204 rims are swank.

the 2.0L worked in the WRX, but to get STi levels of power the 2.0L wouldn't cut it here as far as emissions, so they went to the 2.5L, and now the WRX has it, too. the JDM STi gets to rev higher and use teh high octane gas to get more power.

Are you sure that japan actually has a higher octane gas, and not just a higher number due to the different rating systems used?

I'm pretty sure we discussed this breifly when I was still a newbie here.

JDM vehicles in fact use a different concoction of fuel, which is one reason they need to be converted when unofficially imported.

But refer to part my second post.
