thats a myth
Ive had custom wheels on Svx's for 5 yrs now
pretty much every custom wheel Ive used over
the yrs (which are alot of wheels on alot of cars)
have all had around a+40mm offset with no ill effects.
My Silver car has Murano wheels on it with a +38mm
offset, for ova a year now, no problem

Agreed - I've had low offset rims on mine for almost as long and I'm still on the original bearings at 215,000 miles. Myth busted.
