Edit: Also, you have SK plates on already. Those just stolen from the van?
I'm out in Emerald Park. The drive into Regina is mch more fun now! The plates are off of my Suburban. In Sask. you can get a temporary insurance permit really cheap if you have valid plates off of another vehicle. PM me if you ever want to get together to take a closer look.

Awesome, thanks. I really want to check out your SVX(s). I'll come out there next month after I get my SVX so you can check it out too.

PS: Your location says "Regins". You can change it in User CP.

I believe they also want to ensure there are no outstanding recalls to be performed on the car.

Before registering you may need to install the DRL unit. You may be able to get around this by showing that the headlights turn off when you turn the key off and turn back on when you turn the key on.

Thumbs up

Hehe...I found this post while searching for something...
Funny how things work out...On Friday you'll be driving your "new" 93. Can't wait to meet you and give you these darn keys...you don't know how bad it is having them and knowing you can't touch em' It's like a heroin addict looking at an empty needle LOL

Oh...I mentioned the sticking roof (common thing?) well Hocrest's wouldn't fully close..it shut, but wouldn't go down. Thought maybe graphite lube would help, but inspecting it closer....this is something to check...

On the roof part itself there are tabs (1 on each side) that are supposed to slide into this kinda crooked braket thingy...as you slide the roof forward watch the tab(s). Hocrest's wasn't closing because the passenger side tab wasn't sliding into the bracket properly...it was getting hung up on the corner of it. So I got a small flat head screwdriver and pushed the tab enough to get it to a 90 degree angle. From constantly hitting the corner it kept bending out almost into a 45 degree angle which inturn prohibited the roof from closing properly . I believe if not taken care of in time it eventually would A) break off (not sure if metal or plastic<assumptions>) or B)slide on the outside of the bracket inturn making it break or stick into the closed position.
Thank goodness I got it closed because we are having a torrential down pour right now.

I can't wait to pick up the 93 and meet you. This is like the day before Christmas for a kid! I'm so glad you wre able to take a look at it for me. It sounds like it's in great shape and comes with all the goodies that it originally came with. I'll PM you later today with my travel details.

To all the rest of you, if you happen to see a 93 AE SVX zipping along the interstate through PA, IL, MN, ND etc. this weekend and the guy behind the wheel has a big stupid smaile that just won't go away, it'll be me!

Randy

Randy
smaile?? Is that a Canadian Smile ???
Congrats on the purchase, hope the cruise home is uneventful, and I'd have kept my eye out for ya or tried to meet up for lunch or something, if I wasn't going to be having company this weekend (therefore no chance of me being anywhere near the interstate you will be on)

Actually, "smaile" is a french term meaning "stupid grin of satisfaction" You see, up here in Canada we're bi-lingual.

And, if you beleive that; I've got a 92 Caravan that is in great condition and has never been driven in winter that I'd like to sell you.

P.S. Have you ever tried typing on the tiny keyboard on a Palm Treo cell phone? It's tough.
