Sorry to mess up your even 3000, but, I sometimes post to the UK club, and the Austrailian club as well as a "smattering" of posts on the Y**oo club.

Hmmmm. The UK and Austrailian clubs are not so large as to not be able to count the posts . . . and, with the aid of the Y**oo archive, I can actually count the number of posts EACH of us have and/or had. So, it is within the realm of possibility to get an accurate number of posts. I may have a busy day ahead of me, that is, if work doesn't interfere.

Okay, preliminary update:

I've calculated all of Larry's posts on the Yahoo club, which started with his first, on 9/29/99 and read as follows:

Postings run through 4/24 at 4:48 pm. So, today's postings are not counted, nor any posts after 4:48.

The search brings up 20 posts per page. Larry had 176 pages containing 20 posts each and one page (the last page) had only 13. So, according to my calculations:

176 x 20 = 3,520 + 13 = 3,533

Now, if we add Larry's 749 current Network posts to that total:

3,533 + 749 = 4,284

Add in a "goose egg" for the Australian SVX Club, and a whopping ONE (1), on the UK club, which reads as follows:

Okay, here's my final tally. of course, we must allow for a margin of error, I understand that, but, I know I was surprised.

First off the Y**oo search Archive didn't count, like, my first 61 posts. It had my first post a 9/14/99, when my first post was actually on 8/25/99 and read as follows:

Now, for the numbers:

Yahoo board showed 239 pages at 20 posts each, with the final page showing 14 posts. Again, I had to actually, physically search for my actual first post, and count forward, page by page from there. I found that the Archive had left out 61 posts, so:

239 x 20 = 4,780 + 14 = 4,794

Add the 61 not included in the archive search and you have:

4,794 + 61 = 4855

Now, if you add the 59 posts from the UK club and 33 from the Oz club:

4,855 + 59 + 33 = 4,947

Add to those figures, my current number of posts on the Network:

4,947 + 3,751 = 8,698
