If your name was bob and you have an everyday email address account like bob148@aol.com, thats fine. But would bob@subaru-svx.net say more about what bob enjoys? Now I know this wouldnt be for everyone. I know that probably Aredubjay and myself are the only ones who think having a Subaru SVX email address absolutly rocks, but I am trying to find out if there are others who would be interested. The email would work like a normal POP3 email account as well as having a web interface to use while on the road or at work like Hotmail or Yahoo mail. This is just an idea and I am trying to get peoples feelings or feedback about it. Lets me know what services are wanted or wasted time.

Chris,
Could this SVX address be forwarded to an existing email account. That will affect how I will vote. Doug

Right now, I have a yahoo account, earthlink, svx.net and aol. The only account I can't check through Outlook or Outlook express is AOL, but, with AOL Anywhere, I can check my AOL mail, anywhere. So, it's no big deal. Chris, correct me if I'm wrong.

Chris,
I would be interested only if the Subaru SVX e-mail offered the same kind of firewall and protection against computer viruses (or is it viri) that typical corporate e-mail systems have. Larry III PS: Can I vote for Ralph Nader again. PPS: I tried to vote but the ballot was very confusing. I think an e-chad on my ballot is hanging. |

That is one of the benifits of forwarding option. If I forward it to my main email account on my server, its scanned and cleaned before it ever hits my computer. Doug

Could someone explain to me what they are talking about.
The only server that I have is my butler; and to me, IP means Initial Point. Larry III |

My butler doesn't have an Initial Point, just a bedroom in the guest wing.

1> Yes, auto-forward rules can be set.
2> Yes, its scanned and cleaned should a virus cme through 3> Our email server also does spam-x tagging to help you handle those pesky cans of spam.
