Cost of running the SVX for me.

Well I have been wanting to do this for some time, figure out what this car costs me.

I came up with 18 cents per mile for oil, gas, insurance and repairs.

I get 23 cents per mile if I include the purchase price.

Doing my own work helps alot so there is no labor in the numbers.

Does that seem reasonable? I have driven the SVX 131,431 miles since I got it four years ago.

131K miles in 4 yrs?!!!

The national average is like 15K per year...you're pushing ~33K

Geez, every two years you'll have to do a 60K service!

I probably do arround 40k a year, but I spread it over a few cars, so it's hard to tell for sure. At that rate I get a new one every couple years, or better yet keep a few wrecked ones arround and pull parts as needed...

You know it's interesting you mention this because I haven't done the 60K service this summer. Now I am overdue and I am thinking about letting it go tell next summer. I few other people have gone 90k on the T-belt.
