hibernation season

I plan on renting a storage unit for my svx this winter and want some pointers on how to keep it in there with no ill effects. The unit is concrete and steel with no heat, I'm concerned about moisture in the enging compartment and smells in the interior also some long term storage tips would be nice as far as mechanical like battery, plugs, tires (flat spots), shocks, gas tank etc...

That's for girls to cuddle with, I'd prefer something more sly and sassy (but not too much so)

For fuel, top off tank after adding Stabilzer and run about 15 minutes to get it into the engine.

JAcking up off the ground is also adviseable.

You can get pellets (forget what they are called) to put inside to take all the moisture out. Disconnect battery, you may even want to remove it and store it elsewhere. Make sure all fluids are up to snuff - fresh oil, etc. Radiator has proper mix of antifreez, very important. Agree with lifting off of ground. Possibly put a cover on it. Thats about all I can think of. Shouldn't be too bad if it is just for the winter.

Stabilizer in the gas is a must.

I've stored my SVX the past few winters. I do nothing, really, to prepare it for storage, but I do visit it about once a month. I run it for awhile and get it warmed up. I back it out and make sure to park on a different spot on the tires. That sort of stuff.
