WCSS6

I just want to start off by saying, what a fun weekend that was! I've read Troy's post and he has a lot of what happened covered. But i would like to thank Troy for everything he did this past weekend (Meeting me in kent, leading the way down there) If you weren't there Troy it wouldn't of been half as fun as it was.

Now about the event: Wow everyone was soo nice down there and everyone was there to have a good time. The Cars! Think of almost every subaru ever made and it was there. What a variety there was! There must of been close to 200 cars through out the weekend!

Attention toward the SVX's. I think the most popular cars there were troy's and mine. People love these cars and i dont blame them. If you ever want overhelming attention put your SVX in this show!

And now i get to the autocross. The course that they set up was amazing! It wasn't a high speed course but very technical. They kept the course watered down so it was very slippery, which made it even more fun. Cars from STi's to Legacy wagons were running the course, and also someone said there was a front wheel SVX that ran a lap and then left before i got there.

But My SVX was the one most people saw and were talking about. Yes i did run my SVX in the Autocross and boy was it fun!!! Getting the SVX sideways through turns and the mud flying everywhere. I dont know if it was a good idea to do it because i think i will be washing mud from under my car for MONTHS! I didn't bring my video camera so i didn't get taped but i did take some pictures after a couple runs. Click Here!

I Cant Wait Until Next Year!

Motivation

Yep, 20 SVXes could happen if everyone that had ever came to a past event all came to the same one! (actually, that would probably be more like 40, so it could be really easy!)

Here's some points to ponder.......

If they decide to hold the show at Hood River again next year, the location is perfect! Just beautiful scenery all around that area, and the fairgrounds itself was perfect for the show. It is also very central to all us in the Northwest. Within a few hours drive for just about everyone, including all from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, BC, heck even our SLC friend would have less of a drive than he has done in the past!

To all of you that enjoy the Seafood Meet and the Maintenance meet -------- This is the same thing! Hours and hours (well actually DAYS!) to sit around and look at cars, talk, talk, talk, eat, drink, and party! Yeah, we probably couldn't haul enough gear down to do all the maintenance procedures, but we all know the real appeal there was to talk and look at cars! And Dabob has its own unique scenery and food, but this is equally appealing in a different way. So all of you that came to Dabob and Maintenance meet, you have to come to WCSS7!

To all of you that enjoy the Fall Colors Tour and Spring Classic ------- This is the same thing! Most of you from those tours lived around the Seattle area or northward. Well, we started one of the best driving routes in the Northwest right there in the Seattle area and wow was it fun! Plus if you come to this, you get to do one on Friday and then another one on Sunday! So all of you that came to the fall tour or spring tour, you have to come to WCSS7!

To all of your that enjoyed the small day trips up to Stevens Pass to play in the snow and then later the mud --------- This is the same thing! Except here they have a large mud track set up (and even watered down periodically!) just for that purpose! Perfectly legal all day and lots of other Subaru fans there to watch and cheer your antics! So all of you that came to Mud Bowl '04, you have to come to WCSS7!

Okay, well doing a bit of quick math I think I'm over 20 SVXes now. But just in case some go flakey on us, all of you that have never been to an event before and want to go to a great one, you have to come to WCSS7!

I envision this as being possibly the largest gathering of SVXes west of Indiana - EVER! Add to that that it could be happening in the middle of one of the largest Subaru gatherings, definitely the most diverse one!
