what does this mean

all the warning lights (EG battery steering brakes ect.> are on and the dont turn off is this something special or do i have a short?

You might want to do a search on that.

Could be wrong, but I think its the alterantor that needs to be replaced.

thats what i thought and today my cd player just stoped working. i hope its just the alterantor and not something else

YEAH it was the alt. the car broke down is OC and i had to walk 15 miles home.

yeah the alt cost 330 for a rebuit is that a little high?

You can get one from different part stores for around $230 new. Hard to find a place that has them in stock though....

Another option is to find a place that will rebuild yours. Tends to be cheaper and just as good. Aftermarket replacements have lower amp output than stock. So this may be your best bet.

If you completely drained your battery you might need a new one of those too.

i already replaced it this morning with a rebuilt svx alt. my dealer can do miricles. for a price
