What a Great Meet
Thanks to all who participated in the maintenance meet. The weather turned out great (just a few sprinkles) and some sun. We did 7 power steering O-ring changes, light switch fixes, a couple of oil changes, transmission changes, and a tranny oil filter installed, Some cars got washed and waxed, and all were looked at. What a day. How many attended? We had a total of 18 cars! (but I had an extra 5 there), so 13 cars for as many members. Still a great showing. It was the most SVXes that we have had all together on the West Coast at one time.
 We also had a wonderful Bar B Q and good food. Nick and his dad did a wonderful job on the food that they brought. The best part besides the cars of course was the members. We had several that had never been to one of the meets before. We also had a group of several that showed up that will not get their car for a few days, but came by to see the cars. We also had the same faithful members who would not miss a meet for anything except sickness, and we did have one who could not make it because of that. (Get well soon Jim)  We missed you. It was an excellent Meet. We had a great time, I got a lot done to my car. Just got home, 5 hrs later, but thats another post.

Earl Many Many thanks for hosting the Maitinance Meet & for all the parts & things you did to make everything go GREAT ! It's AMAZING what a new PS O ring & belt can do. I was unhappy with it at parking lot speeds , but now its like I just got power steering ,it's smoooth & she does'nt groan at me anymore. I love it.. & Thanks to Nick's Dad who did an awsome Job on the grill.. Great time with ALL great pep's. Cant wait to get togther agin...... for some DRIVE TIME every-one helped to make this a GREAT meet thanks to ALL !!!

Thanks so much to Earl for hosting the meet at his house, having a lot of the common parts available so we didn't have to order them, and for running around helping everyone with stuff for 10 hours!
Thanks to everyone that came for making it the fun time that it was. It was cool to meet a few new members face to face finally. Watch for the full wrap-up of the meet on nwsvx.com very soon! And remember, this is just the beginning of the 2004 season! Now that the cars are fixed up, we need to get out and actually DRIVE them! The Northwest SVX Spring Classic is coming up fast, and since it starts only a few miles from Earl's house, I expect everyone that was there Saturday should be able to make it no problem! BTW, if you haven't signed up to be a member yet at nwsvx.com, you should consider it. It basically just puts you on a list so you can get updates when the meets are going to happen, and sounds like this site may be going down for a while so forums and PM's may not be available. You will need to be on my email list to know what is going on.

As it turned out, the last member left around 11:30. Couldn't stop talking - imagine that.
I had a great time too. How can you lose when you have all the cars and great members in one place and add some food and drink in there.

LOL Spending hours talking seems to be a trend among this group, both at meets and in small informal gatherings.
Definitely going to have to keep that in mind for locations to end drives at, etc. BTW Earl, your inbox is full.

Many thanks to Earl (and Emmett, who helped me pull a few dents!!) for the great meet. Got the SVX washed and waxed (by my son and his girlfriend) while I chatted dash lights up so nice at night now and a few dents gone! Not to mention some great Kebabs on the barbie! Thanks to all. And was great to meet so many folks and put names with faces!
