Three Svx's in one palce????
Ok so there I am just driving my 92 to go buy new strings for my guitar and lo and behold, I see another identical svx parked in front of the verizon store. So I start to look for a parking spot so I can look for the owner. I turn the corner and there is a red One pulling into the gas station. I'm like what the hell is going on. I've never seen two Svx's together more than twice ever. So i'm like I could use some gas. The guy is from sarasota Florida and he bought his new in 95 in michigan with 82k on it. I get gas and start looking for a parking space. Find the stop next to the other svx. I was my twin. 92 with mid-80k miles. I was lovin' it. Talked to the kid driving it and he even lives in Damascus Maryland near me. So that makes three in upper montgomery county that I know of.
Just thought it was cool to see this many Svx's in one day. Now I am Exhausted because of all the excitment. |

There are more. Rufus lives in New Windsor. SVXcess is from Glenmont.
I'm guessing there are at least two dozen of us registered Network folks in the DC/Balto/Frederick areas. Hope to meet you in Reading this year. There'll be more than just three there - guaranteed. Ron.

Zarmien,
Don't worry about the appearance of your SVX. It's the people here, not the cars, that make any SVX Meet like Reading such a wonderful & rewarding experience. Multiply how you felt upon meeting with 2 other SVXers in a single day by about a billion, and you begin to get the idea. Also, that feeling lasts for weeks afterward. Its a "Natural High." As a further inducement: If you come, the first 2 drinks are on me.

As a matter of fact, they/we are all swell folks. Trust me, come up for the weekend and you won't regret it. It really is all about the people and I can honestly say that these are the best people as a group - almost to an individual (there has gotta be at least one prick in the bunch but I have not found him yet) - that you will see gathered in one place. Last year was my first Reading Meet and I wouldn't miss another if I could help it. Our SVX are like our children. What do you wanna do when you see a sad, bruised child? You wanna give it a hug and tell it everything is ok. Bring your SVX on up to Reading with it's big old dent and you will see it get hugged and appreciated, not mocked and scorned. We may tease you for letting it be that way though. -Johnny (Owner of the SVX with the crappiest repaint job at the Reading meet. I bought it that way though. See? Nothing but hugs.)
