OBD2 engines?

I have a thread on the 'Technical Q & A' forum about OBD2 engines. I wasn't sure what they were and what OBD2 actually stands for.

What I was wondering was......were '96/97 Brit spec cars equipped with OBD2 engines or is this something that applies only to US spec SVXs?
