O2 sensor heater circuit ?

I had a check engine light on, and when they pulled the codes, they found, "EGR flow" and "O2 sensor heater circuit" So after dealing with 7 trips to a certain mechanic and about $600 to fix the "EGR flow" problem, and replacing the entire EGR system, which they thought would fix both problems, I now have to fix the O2 sensor. This mechanic is charging $300 to replace it. he says its an $183 O2 sensor, and the rest is labor/finding the problem. Is the $300 reasonable or should I pay him the $80 he is charging for him to have found the problem, and either do it myself or get some more estimates.

I have the same code on my rear O2 sensor. This weekend I will try to remove the O2 sensor and try yo clean it. If that does not work. I'll search for the best price for one, buy it and either replace it myself or have my favorite Suby dealer replace it.
My Suby dealer lists the O2 sensor at $139 plus 6% PA sales tax.
