Extended Warranties

I think this is the way I'll go for my 97 LSI while it is running well and just under 100k.

After purchasing it used, I have many unknowns, and have made a few "discoveries"!!

What company (s) is everyone using out there and what is your experience with them?

Thanks!!

I purchased a warranty from 1SourceAutorWarranty.com for my 97 with 53k back in May. It was ~$1500 for 5yr/60k with 0 deductible. Thankfully I have no experience with it yet.

I do not think so but I am frequently wrong. A friend did some research and bought coverage for his Mustang also.

Do it soon. Most companies don't warranty after 100k

They advertise with eBay, and offer "free" warrantees on used cars bought there, so I've seen.

Thanks!

I got a 3 year warranty from CARS when I bought my car. Paid ~$650 for it but it is only supposed to cover parts minus a hundred deductible. So far it has paid me about $1500 (tranny, alternator, and something else I can't remember for $500). I would strongly recommend getting something if you can.

I just got a 98 Outback with 113k, and coverage from Eagle warranty. 36 mos with unlimited mileage for ~$1000. Hopefully my head gasket will fail soon.
