AMR Coilovers Arrived!

Woo hoo! Christmas is here!

Just a quick pic. Soccer season just started, looks like it might be a while before install pics.

Thanks, Ray, for getting this project rolling.

Re: AMR Coilovers Arrived!

Not installed yet. We should have chances of snow into June but lots of warm sunny days in between for soccer. They play in snow, too. Just not very well.

I'm still unlikely to be able to install for a while but some have:

Re: AMR Coilovers Arrived!

Finally getting around to this install. I'd had some questions and asked in another thread but thought I should bring it back here under suspension.

Coilover questions asked in this thread:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=63129

They are installed and, now, closer to stock height, but I haven't had the car in to be aligned yet as I've got the door panels open for working on window guides. While waiting for pile strip for those, I made access holes for the ride adjustment in the rear deck as another member suggested.

Instead of using tweeter grilles, I picked up some pipe ends from Ace and made a paint color to match. I cut my access holes using a hole saw- very carefully. I ran it backwards once I broke through the vinyl so that it would penetrate slowly rather than just tear through.

I like it, though the holes would be small for someone with thick fingers. Now I wonder if something like a cup with a lid would have been nicer, more finished. So, the cup would have a hole in the bottom for the knob and you'd open the lid to reach into the cup. Maybe that'll be nagging me enough later to improve it sometime.

Re: AMR Coilovers Arrived!

Your access DIY looks pretty good to me. My personal experience with adj. shocks is that once set up I didn't need to access them very often, at least as far as a street car.
