Anyone ever have their car stolen at work

A Co-worker of mine, had his 95 Acura Integra stolen the day before New Years Eve, right in the front parking lot of our AT&T building on a main road with lots of traffic and a used car lot directly across the street. His car is bright red and in very good shape. I recall mentioning to him about an alarm and or club, as these cars are always stolen it seems. Well he found out the hard way. They found his car the next day a few towns over, completely stripped, doors, hood, trunk lid, seats, wheels, etc. I once owned an 89 Acura Legend 5-speed 2 door coupe, mint with 50k original miles, and I was always paranoid of leaving it anywhere, for fear of it being stolen. I dont worry about our svx getting stolen

Re: Anyone ever have their car stolen at work

hondas and acuras are really easy to steal. i have a lot of customers with cars not worth stealing but were just because it's so easy. some of them have the ignition start signal wire running to the left turn signal so you have to use the turn signal when starting the car. might want to suggest it to your coworker.

Re: Anyone ever have their car stolen at work

Had my '98 TL stolen a few years back from the parking lot at work. They caught the guy a few days later when he jumped and ran, letting the car crash through a chain link fence with two underage girls in the back eating fried chicken. What a mess. Also lost my CD collection but, inherited his. I never felt the same about the car. I was happy when he got 7 years.

Re: Anyone ever have their car stolen at work

A guy once tried to steal my old Taurus while my brother had it at work. The ignition cylinder in that car was so tough that he actually snapped the tip off the screwdriver. One of my brothers co-workers saw the guy in there, grabbed the group (loading dock workers), and went out to confront him. Police action was not required.
