Power lock switch retrofit into a 92?

Does anyone know if a power lock switch from a '94 can be retrofitted to work in a '92?

I believe you need to run the wiring and also need the later actuators and wire connectors

I thought I read you only need to run wires from the security unit to the switch one side grounds one wire locking and the other side of the switch grounds the other wire unlocking.

What about doing this mod backwards? I've been thinking about backdating to the earlier, door-mounted lock switch to make room for a headlight aiming switch on my '96.

The earlier ones don't have anything that the later ones don't have. Just for the 94+ ones they added the switch in the middle. Just unplug and remove the center switch if you want, the driver side door lock should still control the passenger side one.

Err...what door mounted lock switch?

I solved this by getting aftermarket door actuators, a new alarm system, and getting the switch wired in. Works great now. Next comes a trunk actuator...

Why would the stock actuators not work? unless they literally do not work IE broken.
An actuator is simply a push pull device that runs off electricity.

Huh... Didn't know they had that control feature on the SVX. My girlfriend's 95 legacy has a similar feature, so it would make sense that the SVX would too, I guess.

Too bad the door lock is so far back on the door!

True. Guess that's why they added the one in the middle.
