Transmission missing axle mount shafts?

So I found a tranny this week, but it is missing the shafts that come out of the front differential which connect to the axles. Is this something I could buy separately or is this tranny screwed?

Re: Transmission missing axle mount shafts?

Just the little shafts? Those are easy to come by, no big deal. I don't know of any part of the transaxle assy that can not be purchased separately from subaru except the brass bushing for the torque converter in the converter housing.

Re: Transmission missing axle mount shafts?

I checked Subaruparts.com and they didn't have a listing for them. Might you have a part number or at least know what they're specifically called?

Re: Transmission missing axle mount shafts?

Also, would it be possible to use the shafts out of my old transmission? I'm going from stock to 4.44 (98 Outback), would they transfer over?

Also, is the torque converter different between the two transmissions?

Sorry in advance, I'm clueless when it comes to auto trannies.

If you really want someone to help you, don't you think you should be more specific about what you are looking for? This post makes me believe you need the parts numbers for a stock SVX tranny. Your later posts indicate something different????????

The stock stub is ---- Shaft, Axle Drive 38415AA030
Has a circlip holding it in ---- Circlip, Inner 805329010

Re: Transmission missing axle mount shafts?

Thank you

Only other thing I need to know is if the stock SVX torque converter is the same and will transfer to the 4.44 transmission.
