Thoughts on maintenance of Nifty on her 16th year.

Ok so I have decided that I need to start tapering off the expenditure on the Nifty. I've been pouring money into her for 10 years now. haha. I wanted to get some member's thoughts on a couple issues I have been having.

1) My front suspension makes some really interesting noises. The main one sounds like the left front strut mount and or bearing are gone because it makes an odd noise when going over bumps sometimes, or when not moving but you move the steering. I have never heard a car make this noise before, it is almost like the noise of an old rocking lazy boy, like a rubber creaking noise. I am afraid to tear into this because the entire suspension is going to need rebuilding. I know the rear springs are shot also, because it is really starting to sag now even worse than it did when I first switched over to AWD but left the FWD springs in. Ride height is 3/4" lower at the rear pinch weld than at the front one.

2). The Climate control has some odd issues. Back in 2004 I replaced the evap temp sensor which failed, which made the air conditioner almost useless as it would rarely run the compressor. I am now getting a code 14 and a cycling compressor. I believe this is the refrigerant temp sensor, if I remember correctly. I also replaced both these sensors in my 92, I am starting to think this is a common issue on SVXs, though no one else seems to have had as much trouble as I have.

THE MOST ANNOYING ISSUE:
The fan, when on auto, will occasionally cycle rapidly. It is becoming more and more frequent. Like in the course of 10 seconds it will go from low-high-almost off-med-low-high-low. I have asked about this many times and no one seems to have ever heard of it. It may be related to the aforementioned temp sensor malfunction as it only does it on auto and loosing either the refrigerant temp or evap temp sensor causes the system to go to it's knees.

3) My pitch stopper mount is shot. It squeaks on my 1-2 shift and the engine rocks fore-aft alot. The bushings are done. Who knows of an upgraded mount?

4) The exhaust has a rattle. Similar to the resonator rattle but that's not it because I replaced it once and then had it cut out when that replacement failed. I think I have a converter going.

Other than that the car is in pretty good shape, my transmission is really awesome and makes the car feel alot more powerful, and the engine runs well. I want to keep the car in good, fully functional condition until after whatever the 20th anniversary meet turns out to be, but I am planning on getting a 08 or 09 GS 450h to replace it as the primary dd this summer and don't want to be spending too much on this car at this point.

What are everyone's thoughts?
