You're partially right. acceleration will improve, hanlding will not improve unless it is done right. Much of the weight of the SVX is down low and centered. Removing low centered weight simply raises your center of gravity and ride height which is why the same SVX with an auto will outhandle the same SVX with a manual (assuming everything else remains the same).

1/4 mile? Thank god you wear that body condom. We don't need anymore mullet heads around
So, you ready to sell the rims off of the RaceCar?
-Bill
p.s. problem I've had is finding 16" DOT tires that are wider than 275 (which I'm currently running).

Which is why you don't search for 16" DOT tires as real men use real race rubbers anyways, not sheepskin ponchos

Yeah I'll give you a good deal on the rims, $700 plus shipping! Another $75 for the lug nuts and lugs!

All else being equal, I think a 2700lb SVX will out-handle a 3600lb no matter where the center of gravity is, but my point was that was a ridiculous premise for destroying a car. "Gee, I wonder what will happen".

Re: Project 1:10

Understand you idea, but knowing that that much steel is around me and the design of the car and its abilities in a crash allows me to sleep better. One of the reasons I bought the beast. Worth the increase in gas consumption.

good luck!

You shouldn't think too much then. I know we could have ours down to around 2500lbs wet but it would handle much like my f-250 does.
