Back in the Saddle Again

Greetings everyone i just picked up my second SVX a 1996 LSI Polo Green Pearl. The car had a complete history and 75,500 miles on it and $5,500 out the door. It has been almost 9 months since my 92 LS-L transmission went out on me. I did not relaize how much i missed driving these cars. Good looking, quick, and pretty rare.

I have that one listed on my owners list (registration threads) and JennyB had it. Good to see you got a good one. It looks great! Have fun with it. If you get the manufactures date off of the drivers side door post tag, let me know what it is. Thanks

Sorry for not getting back to you guys and your comments, I have been out enjoying the new ride. But to answer Earl's question the car was manufactured in October of 1995. And to answer intellibomb's question yes i still have the 92 with the busted transmission.

Oh reals ive never seen one. was that on all svxs around the world or only for certain countrys?

The post after mine is correct for European market, JDM has a slightly different setup and what is pictured is for US and Canada models starting in 93. I apologize as I've been awake for way too long.

Hi

In my SVX (Europe) on that location is the switch for manual hight adjusting of the headlights. The window-lock is in my driverside doorpanel

On the picture on the shiftconsole I see two unused places for buttons, in my car the bottom one is for keeping the selected gear (no shifting gears) only for 1st and 2nd . The one on top is for disabling the electric antenna

Check out the WTB section - I am looking for that switch + associated connector + little bit of wiring loom...

It was only available in USA + JPN (an option I am hoping to install & write-up about in the Mods area).

So if you know where I can locate one let me know - email is in the WTB area.

It started on the 94s. The 93s didn't have it either.
