Re: Dumb interior question

If you really want a black interior might I suggest looking into the modern leather and plastic dyes on the market. (as in leather dye, plus separate product plastic dye).

Re: Dumb interior question

Aren't some of the U.S. model/year combos different shades of grey?

I think at least the seat back pieces on the 94 L are lighter grey (the ones that go behind the cloth seats. Not sure about the rest of the interior in there though.

I have seen true black interiors in non-U.S. sales brochures, maybe even the world "black" in the description. I'll see if I can dig one up.

I think we are just trying to figure out the shades of gray or black the interiors are.

This is just a reflection in the brochure you saw, they normally tend to darken the pics and make it more attractive as an enhancement to the sales process.

Mychailo goes to Japan, I bet he's seen some SVXi over there, I think he is the one to confirm about what I'm saying.

Re: Dumb interior question

I would agree with that. I have seen many different pictures and it is darker and lighter with the different pictures. Lighting plays a big part in what it looks like.

Re: Dumb interior question

If they darken the pictures to make it "more attractive" why not just make the actual interior black?

I know what you are saying though, their goal isn't necessarily changing the color in the ad, it is just using camera and processing techniques to soften the mood in the picture and give a feel of luxury, nightlife, etc.

Interested in seeing some more non-U.S. pictures pop up, a lot of post claiming black exists, but so far just one pic that turned out to be our dark grey. Do note, some JDM SVXes (and possibly others) DID have a different, shorter, center console so that 3 people could sit in the back, along with 3 seatbelts. I have a good pic of this in my AUS market brochure.

Any more chime in on the lighter grey on some US models?

McGyver, please note that all cars coming to the GCC area are basically made in Japan and never in the US. For example the 350z around are all Japanese Z's and not the American Z's

Strict requirements over here are to be the minimum requirements of a LARGER radiator &/or better thermostat, A/C is always a standard option and the gear ratio is suitable for highway cruising (no mountains whatsoever)

Back on track, the GCC version of cars are basically modified Japanese according to GCC specs.

My SVX comes from Saudi Arabia, I have the dark grey leather and all the ones around are dark grey. NO BLACK LEATHER on the SVX
