Yes, it is busy. Too me it look like it would be kind of boring looking on an SVX. It does not make the wheel stand out to me. The less spokes on a car (3 for example vs 5) makes the car look more aggressive. Less spokes grabs the attention more to me. Maybe I am just weird.

Unless those spokes are thin... In which case you need nice big brakes to fill all that space in there and make it look agressive... Small brakes and large gaps in the spokes = nasty looking holes and almost "poser-ish"... Like you are trying to compensate or something...
