I found a little battery shop around here that sells solar panels and wind generators. I was thinking of doing something with some of that but man it's still expensive. x_x

Anchorage is both a very windy and sunny place. You'd think it'd be more popular.

Yes, it is expensive. That's the problem, you don't ever save enough over other forms of electricity to pay for the purchase and installation even with tax incentives. That's the main reason more don't go that route.
