Speed Sensor Price?

Hey so my speed sensor went bad and I need a replacement. I found it at autozone for 240 bucks. Would that be the right price to pay or can I get one cheaper and if so where?

Are you sure the sensor is bad and not the gear that drives it?

I'm really not sure haven't had a chance to check. I got the 16 power light flashes and my speedometer doesn't work now

Let me know when you determine whether it is the sensor or gear. I have a speed sensor I'll sell you for $100.

On the pass. side top of the front diff you will find the speed sensor, it has three wires going to it. Unscrew it and you should see a t shaped metal piece that spins. With the ignition on sit in the car and have someone try spinning it clockwise/counter clockwise, don't remember. You should see the speedo needle move, if it doesn't it's proably the plastic gear in the diff. Do a search and you will find more info.
