Efiing AT part 2

A few months ago I was complaining that I couldn't get a 4EAT into my SVX after removing a busted one. I finally got a chance to re-visit it today.

Last time I was advised to lift the transmission up into the car at an angle, with the front end going up first. I tried that today and still had issues with the crap on top of the transmission (clips, tubes) hitting the transmission tunnel.

So, a few questions:
1) do I have to remove the wiring harness from the top of the 4EAT in order to install it?
2) how large an angle does the transmission have to go up at?
3) Can somebody just post either a step by step of 4EAT installation, or maybe even scan in the procedure from the FSM?

I'd like to get this bioatch in today, so any help is greatly greatly appreciated.

Mat

If that stuff is hitting the top of the tunnel, then you don't have the front of the motor supported high enough. If the belt cover is too close to the radiator, then its got to be raised up more. You don't need to remove anything. That should get it lined up.

Like Stephen said, you need to jack the front of the ENGINE up some to help line the tranny up.

Make EXTRA sure you have the torque convertor seated all the way, or you'l bust the tranny pump when you tighten down the bell housing bolts...
