Question Help Needed On Seatbelt & Codes

My drivers side seatbelt will not move back when door is closed. If i manually move it back then open door, it goes to forward postion just fine. I have searched & read for hours these forums. I tried finding the codes & when I insert diag jumper into what i think is #8 the seatbelt light stops flashing, the others besides #2 just keeps flashing. the engine codes check out ok. the seatbelt light flashes constintly & the door ajar light funtions properly when I open & close driver door. im think its the control unit, because it keeps flashing when jumping?? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

im going to say its the motor and maybe the track you might be able to find a new one at a junk yard or from another member or just convert your car to the manual lap belts

I would get a new control box and try that. That has solved many of the problems that have been unanswered. Thay don't cost that much used and is an easy fix.

That sound good, im going to try that & see if thats it. I messed with the wires today, nothing better. So i manually put in back position & unpluged it so it would stay back to drive. Also my interior light is out not sure if it bulb or not. Mess with that tomorrow.

Rear window switch

Try pluggin the motor in to your rear window switch. The plug for the rear window is the same as your seatbelt motor and is in the back panel near the wires for your seatbelt. You can then move the seatbelt back and forth with your window switch. Of course your rear window will not roll down but I never use mine anyway. Now... If I can just fix my drivers window and the severe engine hesitation and droopy visor I might have a decent car.
