rack/pinion Question
can anyone give me an idea of symptoms of a bad steering rack and pinion...
just a curiosity question.

If the rack isn't leaking, check the fluid level in the PS pump and the high and low pressure lines. You might also want to check the condition of the front sway bar's bushings, as they are borderline even when new and have been known to fall to pieces over time, which could show up as sloppy steering. -Bill

yeah, i got the upgraded bushings from the groupbuy but i haven't had time to install them. also i noticed that i need new control arm bushings (dead)which means i need to buy the assemblies from subaru.
