Significant Technical Input Registered SVX
Thanks one and all.

I have to have my RHS cover done soon, so I will just copy all the info into a step by step description, and give it to the man, to do it.

Thanks Arthur and Matt.

Harvey.

Driver's Side done. It wasn't bad at all, but then again, I've been pulling motors since back in HS for fun.
I will admit, that you folks helped. Getting it out, once the bolts are removed, was all you baby !
...Also replaced the P/S Pump O-ring. I was wondering where that fluid was coming from...

Will get the Pass side Cover done next.

Just have to figure out the 'indigo' dash install next ?

Docking Rings

Hi Guys, just cleaning up an old post in case any-one else looks it up, or you could say a very late update
Hey,DO NOT USE DOCKING RINGS!!!
These things seemed to work great for (how long has it been?) about seven months, then I just had oil coming from EVERYWHERE!!, and when it runs down over the exhaust system, you can get some real funny looks!!

Basically these things are some form of soft rubber, and with time, heat and oil attacks them and they turn into something worse than fresh bubble gum on carpet.
Eventually, internal pressure (yes, my dipstick pops up) blows the goo out of the screw hole, and you disappear in a cloud of smoke!!
Lesson learned; use SUBARU rocker cover gaskets, BUT, order the common ones used EJ22 engines, they're cheaper.
Arthur.
