Confused!
OK, I am thoroughly confused. I have read and re-read MANY posts about the CORRECT routing of trans fluid into/out of radiator. I have looked in the how-to section. In there, it shows the "inlet" to be passenger side on some of the diagrams and driver side on others. My FSM says, sec 2-5, pg. #7, "#18 - ATF cooler inlet hose B", is going INTO the DRIVERS side of the rad. HELP!
Is there an update to the FSM that changes this info? I read that CDG installed his lines into the passenger side first. Is this why his tranny died? Again, I am confused! Am I missing something obvious? Thanks, mile-hi-bri - Brian |

I believe that it was corrected. I used the passenger side as the inlet as well and my tranny has not gone out. Even if it was plumbed backwards, it would still have done some cooling.

please confirm
Ensteele,
Thanks for the reply to my 'confusion'. Do we indeed KNOW that it was updated to be pass. side IN, NOT out! If for no other reason than to clarify the mystery for everyone. This forum has turned out to be THE source of info for us all! Thank God! There is another post from today, CDG, asking about correct tranny-end hook-ups. So it would be great for him to get the whole cooling system going the correct direction while he's at it. By the way, is there indeed a revision edition to our FSM that show update/corrections? Thanks, Brian |
