Rear Diff. plug size???

Thought the rear diff. fill/drain plugs took a 1/2" drive to remove but this appears too small...what exactly is the size needed to remove this guys?...seems like a 5/8" or metric equivalent square bit.

Thanks,

Craig

I've always used a 1/2 inch drive - in fact I did it with one yesterday. It doesnt fit perfectly, but I havent ever stripped one out using it.

Gave both the plugs a good PB Blaster soaking and will use the 1/2" drive with a little shim stock to take up the slack since the fill plug is a bit buggered by my prior attempt to loosen. I guess I can always spring for a new plug if I end up using a bolt extractor ! Anyone know the size/thread size of these plugs ?

Thanks for the feedback...
