I think I screwed up...bad!

Here it is...

My passenger side window wouldn't roll up yesterday, so I kept rolling it down (Like a F*&%(*& idiot) So.....Now it is rolled down all the way, and won't go back up.

I decided today, that I would look into things with the so called 'switches'
I get the door panel off, along with everything else. I pulled apart the window switches, from the connecters, as parts fly everywhere.
I was missing a spring from the window lock botton. I thought it was ok, I would just leave the botton off. I put everything back together(About to give up) when NONE of the windows would work)Not from the driver door, OR from the normal switches), but the driver side.
THEN is when I realized, I believe yesterday while playing around with the windows, that before I shut the car off, I had pushed the window lock botton!!!!!!!
It was a miracle I found that damn spring, and tried putting everything back together for the 3rd time.

I got it together, and pushed the lock botton, to unlock it.....but it didn't do ****. I still can't roll the windows up/down.!!

The thing is, is that I can still roll up/down the driver side window. But I'm wondering if I totally screwed things up, or........do you still think it might be the window lock botton?
Can you still roll the driver side window down WITH the power lock on, or not??

I believe with my car, when the lock is on, even I can't roll the other windows down from the driver side. (I'm not correct on this, as I never use that damn button)

What do you think it is?
I guess my car really is going to look like a beater, with the ****ing window taped up!

On my car if the window lock button is "on" then the other windows do NOT work from any position.

So, have you tried the other windows and found them to work?

The driver's side switch controls all, but the other windows are stand alone. If all that's screwed up is the passenger window switch, then the back windows should still work (I think, can't read a schematic to save my life sometimes).

As of right now, The only window that rolls down/up, is the driver side. None of the windows work, from anywhere.

I know I messed something up, because they all worked 'fine' yesterday

I wanted to know, if the driver window would still roll down, even if the lock is on? Because if it does, then the problem is that lock botton. If the driver window doesn't roll down with the lock on, then I have no idea what the problem is.

On mine, with the lock on - the drivers switch still works all of the windows. It is just the other switches that don't work until the lock is switched off.

Hi Deja, Although I'm not an ace mechanic, maybe you blew a fuse by touching something when you had everything out. So check your fuses. As they use to say on SCTV. It blowed up real good. Good luck and take care, BOBB

Clean the contacts in your driver side door panel. For some unknown reason, a loose connection will do that.

I wasted time opening up all the panels twice, checking all the connections and both times came back to the driver side switch on two different SVXes.

So...
