Hey all you kit car followers...

I havn't seen much other than replicas in this country, and the cars I've seen are a bit...how can I be PC about this...under devoloped? Yes, that's it! I'd like to see some unique cars with better styling to drool over, anyone have any good links? Mid engine would be nice too

mid-engined...

Excepting the obvious Fiero rebody kits, one that's not too bad is at http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffr...tmrelease.html

Corvette suspension/engine and Porsche transaxle. Not yet for sale, but promised soon.

Also interesting, but I think not street legal is one at http://www.millerteamracing.com/

While not mid-engined, I've been trying pretty unsuccesfully to talk my wife into a Cobra Daytona Coupe kit. Still I buy the magazines from time to time.

The Factory Five Type 65 Coupe is mid-engine - the engine's in front of the driver, but located behind the front axle, so it qualifies as mid-engine. Factory Five seem to have a pretty good reputation.

For fun and a retro look, check out the Caterham Super 7. They have another model or two also. Not mid-engine, but has a lineage back to Colin Chapman and Lotus.
