Gbox rebuilders needed!!!

Well, the replacement box seems to have blown this evening. Can't get top and revs like crazy. Could just be the adjustment gone out but that's clutchting at straws.

I'm in the Midlands, anyone recommend any rebuilders??

Thanks

Unhappy

Hi Tony

Sorry to hear about the meltdown. No top gear, probably the brake band wore away.

The most knowledgeable rebuilders are the crew in Glasgow. They rebuild for Subaru UK, and know the box well. Will check out contact details for you if it is not too far away. They quoted me about £1800, but that was two years ago now.

My guy in Dublin rebuilds the box for about 1200 Euro, a lot less, but that's a bit away too.

Maybe you should check out the company Monzta was dealing with, they might be closer to you.

Best of luck with it

Joe

Tony

I'll look up the number for the bloke in Newark, Notts who did the CVT in the mother-in-law's Micra. When I spoke to him he was very confident he could "do" an SVX box.

Thumbs up

And if you think it might be useful, I will post you a loan of my Workshop Manual, the volume that covers the transmission, and also the ATSG manual.

Let me know if either or both would be useful.

Joe
