I believe in power mode the TC will be unlocked and provide full slippage to get the engine RPM's up as quick as possible.

I would pretty much have to, other wise the TC wouldn't be able to do the TC thing. AFAIK, lockup only occurs in 4th gear, which isn't where you are when you're in PowerMode.

I know you know this, but for others... Lockup basically makes the TC imitate a straight shaft from the drive plate to the transmission input. In PowerMode, you want the engine at the top of the power band (max HP) and use the viscous nature of the TC to convert that HP into torque to drag the transmission up to the same rpm. How's that for a rough explanation.
