VR-4 Galant

I talked my mom into test driving one of those back in 92. (she wanted a automatic 4wd car). Dealer was even offering like $4000 off the sticker or something insane like that. The auto always shifted when or before it hit 4000rpm but the thing still had a ton of punch to it. Didn't have quite the polished feel that the Legacy Turbo she ended up getting has but it sure drove fast! I just can't wait for her to decide its time for a new car. Then I'll give her the $1000 on the 92 Turbo with 63k on the odo that she'd get from the dealer.

The place that used to service my SVX, Vermont SportsCar, has a rally-built Galant. A few employees had Galants, too - but by now I imagine they all have WRXs.

VR-4 Galant

Oh yeah it was an auto and it had the 190hp turbo eng in it alright. It was a 91 if memory serves me right. You don't forget that sound as a 16 year old test driving one of those.
