Power Antenna Servicing

Power Antenna Servicing
Author: Subaru

APPLICABILITY:
ALL MODELS EQUIPPED WITH A POWER ANTENNA

SUBJECT:
POWER ANTENNA SERVICING

Power antenna masts are available as separate replacement parts for all Subaru power antennas.

If you receive a customer complaint of improper power antenna operation, the cause may be a stuck, tight or binding mast.

The mast should be removed following the instructions which come with the part.

Inspect the removed mast.
  1. Check the mast by manually extending and contracting by hand. Visually inspect the mast. A tight or binding mast may be caused by being bent or rusted. If either of these conditions exist, replace the mast.
  2. Inspect the antenna rope for possible damage, such as stripped teeth or breakage. If damage is found, replace the mast.
FLAT RATE INFORMATION

NOTE:
ANTENNA PARTS WHICH ARE BENT OR DAMAGED ARE NOT A MATTER FOR WARRANTY. NEVER REPLACE AN ANTENNA ASSEMBLY WHEN ONLY A MAST IS NECESSARY.

The chart may be used for repairs to vehicles within the terms of the Subaru Limited Warranty.
