Need Help With Metal Fuel Lines, Intake Manifold
I'm in the process of replacing all the vacuum hoses according to the instructions in the "How-To" section. I've removed the Intake Manifold and in the process, disconnected the pipe (I think it's the EGR pipe) from the rear corner of the Intake Manifold on the passenger side, as well as the fuel pipe that connects to the fuel rail on the driver's side of the car, towards the rear of the intake manifold, just below. (unlike some of the pics in the How-To, I did not pull the wiring harness and metal fuel pipes along with intake manifold -- these are still sitting on the engine)
When I removed the two bolts on the passenger side pipe, there was a little metal gasket/spacer between it and the intake manifold. I didn't find a similar spacer on the pipe that connected to the fuel rail on the driver's side. Should there be a spacer or does the pipe bolt directly to the fuel rail? Also, based on the listing of parts in the how-to, I purchased 3 O-Rings, part number 17595AA00, described as Fuel Pipe O-Rings. Are these supposed to go between the fuel pipes and the intake manifold or fuel rail when I put things back together? There were no O-Rings there that I could see when I unbolted these items...maybe they got dropped as well? Thanks for your help. -Scott |

The fuel rails are sealed by those O-rings... The EGR gets the flat metal gasket... Hope this helps
