Power Steering Pump Bearing?

Two of the balls in the bearing on my power steering pully are shreded. It locked up on me a few days ago and stripped a belt. I added some bearing grease and have it turning again for the time being.

Can this bearing be replaced or do I need to get a whole new power steering pump?

You can replace just the bearing, but I would just rebuild the whole pump. I did one not too long ago with all Subaru parts for around $30.00 and it worked great. Definitely beats the price of a new pump and only took me about an hour.

I would call Liberty Subaru, and tell them you want to rebuild your PS pump. Ask for the subaru-svx.net pricing.
