Should I use an AR25 resonator after the main cat? then go to the muffler? or use a different brand resonator?

The Magnaflow high-flow cats are EPA 49 state legal, show you only need one. The aero resonators look a lot like cats anyway. The inspection station said that as long as it met emission standards, there wasn't a problem.

Alright so I should do,

2" pipes
into
1 AR20 resonator
into
2-1 magnaflow hi flow cat dual 2" in/ single 2.5" out
into
AR25 resonator
into
Flowmaster 50 or 80series muffler

Having this setup I shouldn't have very much resonance or none at all then right? Im thinking if guyver said the 80 series has a deeper pitch then I might go with that.

2 inch piping

into
flowmaster 50series muffler 2.5"in/dual 2.25"out in stock location

with
magnaflow tips

Any feedback on it would be good
That is the system I have, except I have an AR25 resonator in place of the stock unit. So I have 2" headpipes into two AR20 resonators, then into the 94007 cat, then into the AR25 resonator and back to the stock muffler.

Photos in my locker HERE

As for tips, I put these Magnaflow dual tips on my sons pearlie (he fhas the Flownaster 50) They fill the opening perfectly!.

Yeah I liked the way you did yours that's why I thought I would use it, minus the AR25 resonator like in the original post but with the flowmaster muffler instead of stock. Do you think that would be a good setup? I don't want it to be quieter than stock. I want it to sound like Guyver was saying his sounds.

Also, the 2" pipes leading up to the resonators have to have the o2 sensor thing welded into it too right?

The flowmaster would be a louder system. I still think you need some sort of resonator (expansion chamber) behind the cat to prevent annoying resonance around 2500-3000rpm.

Also, the 2" pipes leading up to the resonators have to have the O2 sensor thing welded into it too right?

Yes they do. When I had new headpipes fabricated, they welded o2 sensor bungs in the stock locations. The sensors read the exhaust BEFORE they get to the resonators/pre-cats.
I have the OBD II system which has the third O2 sensor. rather than have it installed in the rear of the cat, I had it installed in the pipe ditectly behind it. A cleaner reading and esaier to replace if necessary.

Also know that the increased area of 2" headpipes will rob you of a little low-end torque and back pressure, but give you better top end, due to a less restrictive exhaust velocity

What is the diameter of the stock exhaust anyway?

I'm not sure if mine is OBDII system, I didn't get to check it yet. I have a 94' LS.

I Have

Also have

Both are good, at first I wanted the tips to be a bit wider, but i'm over it. Looks nice as long as your car runs clean.

What pre-cats/resonators/muffler are you running? Does it sound good.

I wanted to be unique, but I have to admit it is the same up front as svxcess. Have the f-body style magnaflow muff, may switch to duals. Need to see how it acts for a bit still, sounds good on my car

I your tips svxcess. I almost bought a set of those, but I already had these.

Yours is OBDI. The OBDII (along with the third O2 sensor at the main cat) did not show up until 1996.

Cool thanks for telling me. Now I don't have to stick my big a$$ head under my car and search for a third O2 sensor

I'm on my way to having a new exhaust. I just bought the AR25 Aero Resonator on ebay for $82.72 shipped.

I plan on buying the Magnaflow cat and Flowmaster 80 muffler next, from the same place hopefully.

Though the flowmaster info says it's 2.5 single in and 2.5 dual out.
Should that be fine since the dual out will be going to just the tips?

depends on your tips I guess. I have 2.5 in, dual 2.25 out. although the picture from the place I bought it implied that it was 2.25 in dual 2.5 out .... I just put my faith in the part number worked out well.
