Lug Nut Question

I lost all of my factory lug nuts. Can anyone tell me the specs of the oem mag lug nuts. IE Shank size Etc. Or does anybody have a part number for an aftermarket lug nut set. Thanks

I have a spare set minus 1 or 2 if you can wait a week or so, I'm a little broke right now. Give me a few days to gather them up. What's your zip?

I don't know of any after market ones, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any. I would go with a used set or buy new ones. The new ones are a little spendy though.

They use a 19MM socket that's for sure.
I just bought a new torque wrench and tightened mine down the other day.

I do recall seeing them in a Autozone once. They are the acorn style and I *think* that they are 12 x 1.50. But they could be 12 x 1.25.

Either way they should be available locally.

Weird, all of my SVXs use an 18mm socket. Maybe my 20 year old socket is just that worn down

They are a shouldered style, and are 12mm x 1.25mm

I have a book with aftermarket mag lugnuts in it I just need the diameter of the shank and the length of the shank. Subaru wants like 8.50 per nut. I dont think so, I'll run my 20's all winter before I spend that much for lug nuts.

Here's a link with just some of the sizes I've found with pictures showing all the dimensions.
http://www.customwheelaccessories.com/MagLugNuts.html

After I get the dimension and try them if they fit correctly I'll post the part # and price.

I think you'd have to use the "Medium Bulge Mag with Washer"
#5005T

It's not just like the stock ones, but it is the closest..

It's inflation, over the years that 18mm has gone +1

And yeah, that 5005t looks to be the closest if you don't get a deal together with Michael.

See if you can get a micrometer to measure the width of the shank and the depth. You might have to go from the back side of the wheel to get the micrometer to fit.

My nuts are 19mm although I had to grind down the socket in order for it to fit in the holes, however I have aftermarket wheels.
